I do not have medical records; will that be an issue?

In such a case, we request you to elaborate on your present symptoms and conditions along with past medical history, if any, following which, we will recommend the right path to you. We will also create a medical file for you to collate all your details to ensure smooth transition across departments and concerned medical staff.

Have Mediclaim/insurance/cashless facility and my govt. /company will pay on my behalf. Hence, whom can I get in touch with to avail cashless benefit?

In either of the above cases, you need to give us the contact details of the concerned person so that we can initiate the process and make arrangements for you to avail cashless benefit.

What are the hospital timings and official working hours?

The hospital is functional 24 hours a day. For timings pertaining to our doctors and nursing staff, diagnostics and procedural units, please contact our helpline.

What mode of payments are supported by Rama Hospital(s)?

  • Wire transfer: your bank account to Rama Hospital bank account transfer. You can transfer the funds on the bank account details we will provide to you. It takes 4–5 days for the funds to get credited. You may send the scanned copy of transfer receipt to us and excess amount, if any, will be refunded to you in INR at the time of bill settlement/discharge.
  • Direct Payment at the time of admission directly through cash, card, or traveler’s check
  • Payment through major credit cards like visa, Master Card, AMEX and CIRRUS
  • Payment for inpatient services is accepted in the following currencies:

What documents do I need to carry for admission?

Following is the list of documents that must be carried for admission:

  • Request for Admission Form duly filled in and signed by the Rama Hospital doctor
  • Patient’s ID proof and an address proof is mandatory (Voter’s Card/Ration Card/Driving License/Passport/Aadhaar Card)
  • Record of treatment prior to this hospitalization
  • Doctor’s prescription/discharge summary of previous admission, if any
  • Investigation reports related to relevant treatment
  • Treatment record related to current hospitalization
  • OPD prescription
  • Investigation reports related to relevant treatment
  • For claims above INR 1 Lakh, ID proof and address proof of the policy holder or the main member in the policy, along with a copy of PAN Card/ Aadhaar Card and 1 passport size photograph of the patient
  • For Corporate patients, Employee Card and an ID proof

Pre-authorization form, along with the above-mentioned papers should be submitted at the Admission/ Insurance Desk within 24 hours of admission.

How long does the admission process take?

The admission process takes approximately 20-25 minutes, once the bed is available.

Our team tries its best to admit the patient as early as possible. In case the desired bed is not available, the patient is offered the next best available room/ bed.

What facilities are available for attendants?

One attendant is allowed to stay with the patient at all times, while the patient is in the room. Once the patient is shifted to OT/ ICU, the room needs to be vacated and one ICU night lounge pass is issued to the attendant.

Facilities available for attendants include:

  • Sofa bed in all rooms (twin, single room, single deluxe, super deluxe and suite)
  • Meals service (at extra charge)
  • Valet car parking
  • Round-the-clock food court located on UG floor or the cafeteria (7:00am to 9:30pm) located on LG floor

How do I get an estimate of my planned medical treatment?

We have financial counsellors who help with the estimation of cost of your treatment, once the consultation with the doctor has been completed.

When do I need to pay my complete bill?

  • The interim bills need to be paid on a daily basis
  • In case of surgeries, the estimated bill needs to be paid in advance of the procedure
  • The final bill is processed at the time of patient discharge which needs to be paid before the patient is discharged from the hospital

What tests are conducted at Rama?

How long will it take to get my test results?

Depending on the nature of the test performed, the time of report availability differs. We make every effort to provide all reports in a timely manner.

What are the visiting hours?

The visiting hours are between 5:00 pm and 7:00 pm for patients admitted in our in-patient wards. Please note that only one visitor is allowed at any time. For ICU visiting hours please contact our helpline

What are the policies and rules for visitors?

The following are not permitted in the hospital premises:

  • Eatables from outside
  • Flowers
  • Electrical appliances
  • Combustible items
  • Jewelry and other valuable commodities
  • Smoking/ Intoxicants of any nature
  • Children below 12 years of age are not allowed in in-patient areas
  • Private arms or personal security, other than authorized police personnel
  • The attendants are supposed to vacate the room, immediately, if their patient is shifted elsewhere.
  • The hospital reserves the right to discharge the patient in case any of the above-mentioned rules are found to be violated.

How should I ensure a safe and secure travel to the city and to the hospital I plan to get myself/family member treated at?

Ghaziabad is a city in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh and a part of the National Capital Region of Delhi. My reports are in regional language (Swahili/Arabic/French). What do I do?

We recommend getting the summary of your records in the English language from your family doctor. In case that is not possible, we will try and do the needful.

What visa should I obtain to avail treatments?

While travelling for treatments, patients and their attendants must check their visa type [Patient: Medical Visa (MV) & Medical Attendant (MX)] for getting their visa.

How do I obtain a medical visa?

Please send us scanned copies of the passports of the patient and his/her attendant so that we can issue the visa facilitation/invitation letter at the earliest, which will enable you to get a medical visa. We also request both the patient and their respective attendant to carry 8 copies each of their passport-sized photographs.

Is there an airport pickup facility?

If required, yes. Your case manager will arrange for your pick-up after receiving your travel documents and itinerary. An international patient service team will send to you the name and contact details of the staffer and the same person will escort you to the hospital. In case you are unable to find the person, just make a call on the hospital number or to your case manager.
